Micro Focus Appoints Owen Williams asVicePresident of Application Modernization
NEWBURY, England and SAN DIEGO, CA, November 17, 2008-- Micro Focus (LSE.MCRO.L), the leading provider of enterprise application management and modernization solutions, today announced the appointment of Owen Williams as Vice President of Application Modernization. With over 20 years of experience in business development, Williams will manage and drive global application modernization efforts and initiatives to help Micro Focus customers reduce costs and fuel their migration to Service Oriented Architecture. He will report to Marc Andrews, Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing, and work closely with the product, services, sales and partner teams to develop and guide Micro Focus’ strategy for modernization solutions.

Before joining Micro Focus, Williams was a Senior Principal Consultant and Practice Manager at WIPRO Technologies, where he built up a SOA, Enterprise Architecture and Application Portfolio Management practice supporting customers such as Microsoft, Cisco and Apple. Prior to WIPRO, Williams was the Vice President of Corporate Development for Science Applications International Corporation, where he launched and implemented a legacy modernization blueprint and built the company’s .NET practice. Williams also spent eight years with Microsoft, where he developed and directed the company’s largest enterprise accounts.
