Micro Focus Appoints Mary Nugent asVicePresident of Solution Consulting

NEWBURY, England and HOUSTON, TX, February 10, 2009-- Micro Focus (LSE.MCRO.L), the leading provider of enterprise application management and modernization solutions, today announced the appointment of Mary Nugent as Vice President of Solution Consulting in North America. With nearly two decades of experience in the enterprise software space, Nugent will work closely with sales, product groups, customers and partners to ensure the pre-sales technical team is able to execute on the company’s aggressive application modernization and migration strategy.

Nugent, who will report to Kevin Moultrup, Executive Vice President of North America, will lead a pre-sales team whose primary responsibility is to help customers understand how to dramatically improve the value of their business applications and how to accelerate the return-on-investment.

Nugent joins Micro Focus after 13 years at BMC Software, where she was the Vice President, Worldwide Software Consulting, directing a global consultant team. Nugent also spent time as a Vice President of Research and Development at BMC, where she managed development of business service management products and guided customer transition from dated solutions to newer, modernized architectures.
