Welcome to Application Provider In Focus, the first online newsletter dedicated to our application provider customers who develop software for resale.
In this first edition, we’re proud to announce our new enhanced Application Provider Program, designed to support the needs of our customers developing and promoting applications for resale.
The past few months have been exciting for the Micro Focus application provider team as we received much feedback from you on what you value and need through the program.
Our aim, to deliver a fully-featured program that closely supports your commercial goals – helping you to address the key challenges you face by enabling you to respond rapidly to market changes and embrace modern architectures with reduced cost and risk.
The Program’s aims are to help you win new customers and grow existing accounts by providing you with the skills and resources you need to improve your application’s competitiveness. Our goal is to help you get maximum value from your existing and future applications.
Program benefits – Eight keys to success
Following our program announcement two months ago, we received input from many customers on what they want and value from the program. We’re using this feedback to make sure the program closely aligns to your needs.
We are designing the program to address eight key success factors identified by our customers.
Forums and events to share experience and best practice– you told us you want to share and learn from the experience of others to help you develop and enhance your business and software development strategies. Through the program, you can access and contribute to online resources. Your can participate in forums and webcasts. For example, some of you want to know more about Agile Development methods and best practice. On 23rd January we will host a Global Webcast to share our experience on Scrum methods. Specialized commercial terms for application deployment – you told us you want to find ways to make it easier for your customers to do business with you. This may mean aligning the cost of deploying and supporting applications with the way your customers pay. We have flexible approaches to licensing to help you. Interested? Developer recruitment, training and education - As a Micro Focus Application Provider, you get access to our Skills program; ACTION. ACTION connects you with several major universities focused on the Information Technology industry and who actively help companies build COBOL talent.
