Available now from Micro Focus is the 5.1 product line with updates to the Net Express and Server Express development tools, alongside associated updates to the Micro Focus Studio and Server product ranges. Developed with the usual focus on quality and reliability, these exciting new products expand the capabilities for Windows and Open Systems COBOL application development.
Extending beyond the solid foundation of version 5.0 these new offerings provide significant enhancements in both quality and performance. In addition, they also represent the platform for future growth, as these will be the versions that forthcoming Micro Focus add-on products will be compatible with, products that will further expand core features and functionality.
Net Express 5.1 builds on the powerful version 5.0, bringing enhancements in quality and performance, including an update for Windows Server 2008. The product can also be upgraded to Net Express with .NET to enable the creation, using Visual Studio 2008, of COBOL applications for deployment into the .NET Framework.
Server Express 5.1 is the latest update to the hugely popular Open Systems COBOL Application Development tool. Designed to support high-volume transaction processing applications, Server Express 5.1 accelerates enterprise COBOL application performance, providing the fastest ever Micro Focus COBOL product for Unix and Linux.
