The role
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) shall be responsible for generating a high volume of transactions in both new and existing accounts. Using a variety of tools such as outbound calling, email, and other lead generating methods, the candidate will prospect, qualify, position, demonstrate, and close software license and maintenance opportunities. The ISR will be responsible for supporting marketing initiatives through the execution of telemarketing programs as well as tracking and maintaining leads and opportunity data in Micro Focus’ CRM system.
This role is a quota carrying sales position with unlimited growth and earnings potential. Training will be provided in all aspects of the business.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of Micro Focus technologies and solutions;
Identify and qualify prospects through proactive outbound calling, establishing a line of communication with key contacts while creating an interest in the Micro Focus solution portfolio;
Assist in the development and execution of targeted marketing campaigns;
Regularly log all activities into CRM and report results;
Interface with customer prospects. Provide product information and appropriate follow-up;
Generate quotes and proposals that address customer needs;
Create demand for products and services through focused call campaigns;
Monitor leads from multiple online sources;
Participate in sales and market training as directed by management;
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activities, exhibitions, etc.;
Maintain company's CRM database with accurate, up-to-date contact and activity detail
Specialized knowledge and skills
Highly motivated self-starter that is articulate, persistent, and outgoing with a professional phone demeanor;
Provide track record of consistently achieving or exceeding quota;
Efficient and goal-oriented with a focus on execution;
User-level proficiency in office automation (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and CRM (Salesforce, Siebel, ACT etc.);
A team player who can quickly establish effective working relationships with a wide range of staff including representatives from field sales, marketing, and engineering;
Demonstrates exceptional business ethics: Does the right thing without being asked to do so;
3+ years of demonstrated experience selling business or enterprise software is a huge plus.
