We are in the midst of arguably the biggest global recession since the Great Depression, and almost certainly the biggest recession since business became dependent on IT for its ability to operate and compete effectively. Pressure is on to slash costs, particularly within IT, and to focus on nothing but keeping the lights on. However, the business that adjusts to this new economic reality with a well-considered strategy is far more likely to exit this downturn with better market position and accelerated growth compared to its competitors.
