Micro Focus Server™ for COBOL is a high performance execution environment to deploy COBOL applications on all of today's popular Windows, UNIX and Linux platforms (view supported UNIX/Linux platforms).   Micro Focus Server™ for COBOL supports a variety of object formats to provide users with the flexibility to balance performance with portability.

If your key requirement is performance, you may utilize the native code optimization for specific hardware chipsets. If your key requirement is portability, the applications can be created where the object code can be built once and run on any supported platform regardless of differences in the operating system or platform architecture.
