We support multiple programs of learning focusing on the needs in today’s roles in this complex world of choices. With our values at Micro Focus we believe in Nurturing through effective learning and assessment with the ultimate aim of empowerment.

Our Academic program aimed at institutes of education is designed to establish best practice around modern day COBOL with the objective of giving students the best possible start in today’s competitive IT environment.

Our commercial programs of learning are there to initiate, transition, educate and prove ability giving both the employee and the employer the skill assurance they both seek. The work place is often seen as the best learning ground with on the job learning (incidental) and it is true however it does have limitations not least the learning is constrained by the parameters of the work undertaken and the work place. All too often this does not allow for expansion of thought leading to “We’ve always done it this way”.

Our instructors and our learning programs work to the principle of 40/60 whereby 40% is feature and the 60% is based on best practices learned through years of implementation through our services organization. Follow the boxes below to discover more.

* Classic Instructor Led Training : The class is delivered by an Instructor present in the classroom. Minimum numbers of 5 per class apply.
Customers are advised NOT to confirm travel and accommodation until the class is confirmed by Micro Focus.

* Remote Instructor Led Training : The class is delivered over the web using live meeting technology and audio session. Minimum numbers of 2 per class apply.
The students have access to the Lab environment via Remote Hosted Sessions and the instructor has the ability to shadow and assist in the lab sessions.
