SUNNYVALE, CA – Micro Focus announced today that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Sheryl Wharff, Americas Channel & Alliance Partner Marketing Lead to its prestigious 2019 Women of the Channel list. The leaders on this annual list are from all areas of the IT channel ecosystem; representing technology suppliers, distributors, solution providers, and other IT organizations. Each is recognized for her contributions to channel advocacy, channel growth and visionary leadership.
CRN editors choose the list from a multitude of channel leadership applicants and select the final honorees based on their professional accomplishments, demonstrated expertise, and ongoing dedication to the IT channel.
Over the past year Ms. Wharff's accomplishments centered on building and managing Micro Focus's partner channel and alliance marketing team that collectively developed and executed creative campaigns, and tracked the ROI of MDF investments. This assured these marketing efforts met the partnership business objectives, increased revenues and drove pipeline growth. Ms. Wharff led partnering sponsorships at Micro Focus's three major Americas Customer Summits (ADM, ITOM & Cybersecurity) and spearheaded the development and distribution of company-focused marketing videos, eBooks, whitepapers and supporting alliance materials. Additionally, Ms. Wharff has led the strategic development and delivery of MDF funded partner seminars, customer events, industry tradeshow conferences, CIO events, enablement sessions and more.
"Knowing the tireless effort Sheryl puts in day-in and day-out on behalf of our partners, it comes as no surprise to me that Sheryl has earned this significant achievement as one of the CRN Women of the Channel," said Mike O'Neill, Sr. VP of Indirect Channel Sales, Micro Focus. "She was instrumental in the launch of Micro Focus's new, 5-star rated, unified global partner program, and has fully bought into ensuring the success of our partners. Sheryl embodies the effort of enabling our partners to generate more predictable revenue, build greater pipeline and effectively sell more."
