Appendix A: Languages

Revolve's parsers are designed to be independent from the rest of the system and are packaged as separate dynamic link libraries. This means that parsers can be added or removed without affecting the way the system runs. As a parser is added, it allows components of the parser's type to be included into projects. The parsers that are included in Revolve are described below.

Some support has been added for more recent versions of the following languages; however, only those listed below are fully supported.

A.1 Assembler

The Assembler Extension® is a separate product that is available for Assembler for IBM System/390 as defined in IBM's High Level Assembler General Information Manual and the High Level Assembler Language Reference.

A.2 BMS

BMS (through 2.1.2).

A.3 CICS

CICS version 4.1.2

CICS Control Tables: DCT, FCT, PCT, PPT, RCT, and CSD Reports.

A.4 COBOL

Revolve accepts COBOL that conforms to the American National Standard (ANSI) X2.23 -1974, ANSI X3.23 -1985, IBM OS/VS COBOL, IBM VS COBOL II, Micro Focus COBOL, Wang VS COBOL, DEC, RM, SAA, XOPEN .

A.5 IMS

IMS/ESA 3.1 for Message Format Services (MFS), Program Specification Block (PSB) and Database Description (DBD).

A.6 JCL

OS/VS2 MVS JCL 3.8, JES2, JES3.

A.7 SQL

DB2 V.5.2

A.8 Unisys
