13. License Management : Additional RLM Documentation

Additional RLM Documentation
The RLM License Administration Manual is available via the RLM Web Interface and directly from the RLM web site, here: http://www.reprisesoftware.com/RLM_Enduser.html.
This document’s intended audience is administrators at end user sites, rather than end users themselves.
Note: As of this writing, the RLM License Administration Manual describes the features and functionality supported by the RLM server that is currently installed with AccuRev (RLM version 10.1). As RLM documentation is not installed with the RLM server (rather, it is hosted on the RLM web site), be aware that the available RLM documentation might not always match the version of your RLM server.
Stopping and Starting the AccuRev and RLM Servers
Some license management procedures, like changing the value of the port on which the RLM server is listening, require stopping and starting both AccuRev and RLM servers. This section describes those procedures for Windows and UNIX/Linux users.
Stopping the Servers
The following table summarizes the procedures you can use to stop AccuRev and RLM servers on both Windows and UNIX/Linux.
cd <ac-install>/bin
rlmdown -c <path to accurev.lic>
Starting the Servers
The following table summarizes the procedures you can use to start AccuRev and RLM servers on both Windows and UNIX/Linux.
cd <ac-install>/bin
rlm -c <path to accurev.lic> -dlog <path to RLM log file>
For more detailed information on working with RLM servers, refer to the RLM License Administration Manual. (See Additional RLM Documentation on page 127.)
