An accurev command (
backup) and a
maintain command (
restore) are involved in the scheme for backing up and restoring the AccuRev repository with a minimum of disruption to development activities.
The accurev backup command can be executed while the AccuRev Server is running and development activities are ongoing. For more information, see
Backing Up the Repository.
At any time after you’ve executed an accurev backup command and verified that it has completed successfully, you can restore the repository to its state at the time the
backup command was started using
maintain restore. This is an offline procedure — the AccuRev Server must be stopped when you run it. This procedure is documented in
Restoring the Repository.
