Exporting to a CSV File from the Requirements Grid

Exporting to a CSV file from the Requirements Grid offers more control over the information included in the exported file than exporting from the Requirements Tree. The exported file maintains the filters, column selection, column order, and sort order of your Requirements Grid.
Note: The only exception with column order is if ID is the first column in your grid. Microsoft Excel does not accept the characters "ID" in the first column. If ID is your first column, the export moves ID column to the second column in the CSV file.
  1. Click DEFINE.
  2. Click the Grid View (GUID-338DF50E-45E1-4CEA-8374-A94B85B5B6AF-low.png).
  3. Ensure that the filter, columns, and sort order contain the items you want to export.
  4. Click GUID-BCFAB1A1-DE79-429D-9FF8-3D3A2C1CC97B-low.png (export). The Requirements are exported to a CSV file in the default download directory of your browser. For example: C:\Users\{userid}\Downloads.
