Modifying the Properties of External Links

  1. On the Administration menu, click External Links.

    The Content Manager External Links dialogue box appears.

  2. Select the External Link to modify and right-click and click Properties.

    The properties of the external link appear.

  3. Modify the properties as required.
  4. Click OK to save the changes.

Deleting External Links

  1. On the Administration menu, click External Links.

    The Content Manager External Links dialogue box appears.

  2. Select the External Link(s) to delete, right-click and click Delete .
  3. On the displayed Delete External Link dialogue, click OK to confirm the deletion.

Using External Links

Once the target application and field have been defined, you can use the right-click command Send To - External Link to send the information from Content Manager to the target application.

Command line switches are specific to the application that Content Manager is sending data to.

You can use multiple executable links and record add-ins for a single Content Manager object.

Creating External Links ribbon button

  1. In the Content Manager External Links dialogue box, right-click on the External Link you want to create a ribbon button.

  2. Select Send To > Ribbon Commond Shortcuts option. The Ribbon Command Shortcuts appears.
  3. Enter short caption to be displayed on the ribbon button.
  4. Enter tooltip for the ribbon button in the text box.
  5. Click the down arrow and select an icon to display on the ribbon.
  6. (Optional) If you want large icon to be displayed, select Use a large icon for the ribbon button option.
  7. Click OK.
