Scanning Manage In Place items

If the store is taking backup copies it will check to see if the document has changed. If so, it will add a new backup of the later copy and the older backup copy is deleted.

  1. On the Administration menu, click Document Stores.

    The Document Stores dialog box appears.

  2. Right-click the store you want to scan the items from and select Scan Manage In Place Items.

    A Scan a Manage In Place Store for document updates - *** dialog box appears.

    • Correct missing files(restores a backup copy if available, otherwise flags the item as missing) - select this option to restore a backup copy.

    • Processing log file - select the log file that will record the transfer process. Enter the log file name or click the KwikSelect, browse and then select the required log file.

    • Only log errors - select this option to save only the errors to the log file.

    • Processing buffer size - set the processing batch buffer size. After each batch is processed, details of the last item in the batch are saved, along side the integrity check settings, to the registry. The processing will start from the item immediately after the last successfully processed item. The default size is 5000 and maximum size is 10,000.

    • Run in multi-threaded mode – select this option to run the integrity check as a multi-threaded process.

      • Number of threads - set the number of threads. The default number of threads is 10 and the maximum value can go upto 30.

      • Thread processing timeout (seconds) - set the timeout limit for each thread. If a thread fails to make any progress in it's work queue within this time frame, this setting will cut in.
