Record Type Electronic LM page

To see this page, right-click a Record Type, click Properties and select the Electronic LM page.

This function is used to move inactive records to lower cost storage.

Enable Inactive Record Manager (Electronic) - to reduce electronic storage costs, enable to make electronic records inactive by moving them to the appropriate storage. This option is available for record types that are enabled for electronic objects. See Record Type Electronic page.

• Action - select from:

  • Move to another store - move to another document store.

    • New Store - if the option Move to another store is selected, this option is enabled - from the drop-down list select the Document Store to move the inactive electronic records to, or click the KwikSelect to browse to and select the store.

  • Move to tier 2 storage, or Move to tier 3 storage - Tiers can be used if Content Manager has been set-up to use lower cost storage technologies, see Tiered Storage.

  • Move from MIP to record type store - move the Manage in Place records to the nominated document store of the record type. The Edit Status of the record changes from Manage In Place to Checked In.
  • Close record - select this option to close records when you process inactive electronic records.
• Select records using - from the drop-down list, select a Date method to identify inactive records.
• Process records after - select the years and months based on the date used for selecting records.
• New Store - enabled if Move to another store was selected. Nominate an electronic store.
• Inactive documents processed by Content Manager Event Processor - enable to have the event processor monitor and perform the above functions for any inactive records. Alternatively, the process can be activated by the administrator using the Inactive Records functions on the Administration ribbon.
