Maintaining Contacts
When dragging and dropping documents into Content Manager and you are using the Metadata Capture rules to automatically populate contact fields based on the document's properties, the added metadata will be read-only. To add, or select the required contact, click the KwikSelect to display the Maintain <Contact Type> Contacts dialogue.
The Maintain <Contact Type> Contacts dialogue also appears if you click the KwikSelect on a Contact type field on the record Properties form and there are already contacts in the field.
From this dialog, you can either create contact as a new location, change the location type, or delete the contact. You can also review existing locations in Content Manager and match new contact to an existing location, if appropriate.
Maintaining Contacts right-mouse button options
- Add Contact - select this option to add the contact as a location in Content Manager. See Attaching Contacts to records for details, by default, the Contact Type field will be read only displaying the Contact field the new contact is being added to.
- Change Location Type - select this option to change the Location Type from Unknown. See Change Location type for details.
- Delete Contact - select this option to remove the contact details from the record.
- Properties - select this option to display the properties of the contact. On the displayed New location dialog, you can update the contact's details.
