Applying the Downgrade and Declassify functions to records

  1. When the record security details are set up, for example, by applying a Security Guide Entry to it, you can search for the records using the search methods Security Downgrade Due Date or Security Declassify Due Date, for example.

  2. Modify the record's security details by right-clicking it and on the Security and Audit menu, clicking Security/Access. Then change the details in the Security Classification tab.
  3. Type in the reason for security change according to the instructions in the Downgrade On or Declassify On tabs.

  4. Select Update Last Reviewed On status to display the downgrade or declassification details in the Most Recent Update Details field
  5. Click OK to save the security modifications for the selected record
