Initiating Workflows automatically
If the behaviour of the Record Type of the initiating record is set to Folder, Content Manager will use the initiating record as default container for the new Workflow.
See Record Type General page for details about setting Record Type behaviour.
To use this functionality, you must have a Workflow template.
- Select a Folder record type
- Select the Workflow/Action page
- In the Initiate Workflow based on a Workflow Template field, select the Workflow template you want to use
- Create a new record using the above mentioned Record Type.
You have created a new Workflow.
The Workflow name will include the Workflow template followed by the initiating record's number.
This Workflow will use the initiating record as the default container.
