Administration

The functions available in the Administration menu :

  • System Options - to configure Content Manager system options.
  • Audit Options - to set logging options.
  • Document Stores - to set up and use electronic document stores.
  • Setting up Global Settings - to set and use global user settings.
  • Manage in Place Adaptors - to set up and use Manage in Place document stores.
  • Email Templates - to set up templates for email notifications.
  • External Links - to set up links to send data to external applications.
  • External Icons - add additional icons to Content Manager.
  • Caption Editor - to edit captions.
  • Directory Synchronisation - integrate with LDAP-based directory services.
  • Content and Word Indexes - create or recreate the Content Manager content and word indexes, as well as configure Auto Classification. See Auto-Classification.
  • Recalculate Disposal Dates - to recreate the disposal schedule search keys. Needs to be run to convert your retention schedules from TRIM or Records Manager to Records Manager 8.2+ or any version of Content Manager. See Record Retention Reindex.
  • Consignment Disposal - dispose of consignments.
  • Conversion Utilities - to convert objects such as saved searches, mail messages, security filters, etc. to the latest formats.
  • Inactive Records - update the locations of inactive electronic or physical records.
  • Import/Export - to import and export data to and from Content Manager. See Content Manager DataPort Help in your Content Manager folder.
  • Data Cleanup - to clean up redundant data .
  • Quarantined Documents - find and process documents that have been quarantined.
  • Manage Thumbnails - Content Manager's WebDrawer can display electronic documents as a thumbnail. Select this option to manage the creation/removal of thumbnails.
  • Policy Centre Solution - this option allows for the configuration to import retention schedules and classifications supplied by Iron Mountain's Policy Center.
  • Email Address Assistant - this option allows you to find duplicated email addresses and edit the locations to remove duplications.
  • Monitoring the Render Queue - this option allows you to monitor the Rendering processing queue from the Content Manager client.
