Rollback Activities
Rollback enables you to roll the Workflow back to an Activity's predecessor.
- In the Activity Properties, select the Results tab
- Right-click and select New Result to create a new result or open an existing one
- In the New Result dialogue box, select Rollback to Activity
- Click OK.
Rollback is now set up as an option for every Activity between the current one back to the rollback target Activity.
In the Workflow editor, you will see an arrow with a clear tip from the Activity where you set up rollback pointing to the rollback target Activity.
NOTE: To use rollback on an Activity, it must be Ready to Start.
- Right-click an Activity to roll back from, select Rollback.
The Rollback Activity window appears.
- Rollback to Activity - choose from the drop-down box
- Reason for rollback - type a reason for your action
- Click OK.
Content Manager will roll back the Workflow to the Activity you specified.
All Activities in between are set to Not Ready to Start.
NOTE: When an activity is rolled back, the rollback reason is displayed in the Activity Notes.
TIP: Double-click or right-click and select Properties on a rollback line to display the result to which the rollback belongs.
