Holds administration
Records within a Hold can have their Assignee Location changed by users with Modify Records permissions or, depending on the Record Type settings, users can modify the Assignee Location if Allow users without 'Modify Records' permission to change Assignee is selected on the Record Type's Properties, Menu page.
Regardless of any Record Type options, all users with Modify Records permissions can change the Assignee Location for records in a Hold.
This is to reflect such occasions as a document or record being removed from the Hold temporarily to be presented at some forums, for example, going to a court hearing.
Communications can also be added and removed from records in a Hold.
To see all the Holds in Content Manager that you have access to, click Manage, then click Holds.
Content Manager displays the Holds.
A Hold specific user permission Can View Hold Properties is available and by default, is enabled for all user types. This permission be disabled for specific users who an organisation may want to limit their abilities to view Hold details. See Can View Hold Properties for details.
