Annotating electronic documents
IMPORTANT: The Annotation functionality is only available if the Objective Trapeze Integration - Annotate feature is selected on the System Options Features page and an Activation key has been entered.
- Search for the record whose attached electronic document you want to annotate - .tiff/.tif format only.
- Right-click the record and on the Electronic menu, click Annotate.
Content Manager checks out the electronic document and it appears in the Annotate Attached Electronic Document viewer window.
- Annotation Tools - by default, the Sticky Note tool is selected.
To use a different annotation tool, use the drop-down list from the Tool button
.
The following tools are available for annotating electronic documents:
- Dragging
- Zoom
- OCR Text Selection
- Annotation/Redaction Selection
- Hollow Rectangle
- Filled Rectangle
- Highlighter
- Sticky Note (default)
- Text
- Rectangle
- Straight Line
- Arrow
- Line
- Picture
- Scribble
- Polyline
- Polygon
- Hollow Ellipse
- Filled Ellipse
- Ellipse
- Stamp
- Click OK.
The electronic document will be automatically checked back into Content Manager.
To modify or remove an annotation from an electronic document, use the selection tool and use the Menu button commands Properties or Edit.
You can change the following properties:
- Background colour
- Border colour and style
- Text font and colour
- Width, for example, scribble line width
- You can set the colours to Transparent
You can view a permanent annotation that was added to the image with other image viewers outside of Content Manager.
- From the Menu button, select Page
- Next, select Make Annotations Permanent
