Applying security caveats to items

Security caveats can be set up or applied to individual records, Locations and Record Types for security inheritance.

For more information about how to apply security caveats to records, see Applying security levels, caveats and Access Controls to records.
To apply a security caveat to Locations, you can:
- For a single Location, use the Location's Profile tab, Security dialogue box - see Security dialogue box
- For multiple Locations, right-click the security caveat, and then use the Locations menu to assign it to one or multiple Locations
For security reasons, you cannot apply multiple security caveats to Locations at the same time.
