Changing the Owner Location
NOTE: Unless you are a user of user type Administrator, you can only change the Owner Location if you
- belong to the Owner Location or
- are part of the group on the record's Access Control for Update Record Metadata or Modify Record Access or
- are within the subordinate hierarchy of the Owner Location
This ensures the integrity of Access Control security.
- Search for the record whose Location you want to change
- Right-click and select the Locations - Owner option.
The Owner dialogue box appears.
- The current Owner Location for the selected record appears.
Delete it and either type in the new Owner Location name or use KwikSelect to select one from the available Locations.
- Click OK.
TIP: You can also change the Owner Location of the record by dragging a Location onto a record using the right mouse button.
This will display a menu to change the Owner Location.
Using the left mouse button will only enable you to change the Assignee Location.
