Modifying record Locations
When you right-click a record, the Locations commands enable you to change the following details of a record:
- Container
- Assignee
- Home - where the record normally resides when not in use.
Includes Space management system Location options.
- Owner
- Attach Contact
- Remove Contact
Location changes can also be performed using dragging.
Right-click a Location from a Locations window and drag it onto the record whose Location you want to change.
If you drag the Location using the left mouse button instead of the right mouse button, then Content Manager will change the Assignee Location.
You can use Locations with unique names assigned to them in Location fields by prefixing with a period, for example, .Boss.
Duplicate Locations may appear, for example by searching for Locations using a wildcard (*) at the end of the name.
For example, if both Executive and Executive 2 exist in the Locations list, searching for a Location named Executive will assume you mean Executive.
If you want to pick from everything starting with Executive, use a wildcard at the end of the name - for example, Executive* - both Executive and Executive 2 will be returned.
