Processing a document queue

  1. From the Manage ribbon, select Document Queues.

    This will display the Document Queues window.

  2. Right-click the document queue you want to process and select Process.

    The Process Document Queue window appears, showing any documents suitable for processing.
    Content Manager updates the field Last Processed On with the date and time the queue was processed, no matter what the outcome of the process was.

  3. Right-click the document or tag and right-click the document(s) in the document queue to be processed and select Check In.

    The Check In dialogue box appears.

  4. If a document is to be emailed to an individual directly from the queue, select the document and select Send to Mail Recipient.

    This can be useful for documents that are intended for individuals but are not to be checked into Content Manager.

    You can then remove these documents from the queue.

    There are two ways to remove a document from a queue - right-click a document and select either:

    • Remove Document from Document Queue - removes the document from the queue
    • Delete Document from Folder - will display the message:

      Do you want to remove the file [location] from the hard drive?

  5. Click OK - moves the document to Recycle Bin and removes it from the queue
