Removing Record Types

You can only remove a Record Type when it has not been used to create any records.

If records exist in the Record Type, you will need to either:

• Delete all the records
• Move all the records to a different Record Type - for example, a temporary Record Type created to hold the records while you remove the old Record Type.

You can also export the records within the Record Type and re-import them at a later stage.
