Offline Records functionality
Drafts can be added to the Offline Records tray by:
- Copy and paste from Windows Explorer
- Drag from Windows Explorer
- Taking a supercopy of a record in Content Manager by using the right-click option, Supercopy.
NOTE: To ensure that you are viewing all draft documents in the Offline Records tray, press the F6 button to reload the documents to the screen.
All the records or draft documents that are deleted from the Offline Records tray will be added to the Windows Recycle Bin.
Records - originals/modified - can be added to the Offline Records tray by:
- Checking out a record by using Check Out. See Checking out or extracting electronic documents
- Using the edit function on a record and closing the Content Manager client or Content Manager Desktop client before the document is closed
- Using the edit function and losing the connection to Content Manager while editing the document
- Records that have been checked out but not edited will be marked with a status of Original.
As soon as they are modified, they will be marked with a status of Modified.
Containers can be added to the Offline Records tray by checking out one or more documents contained in them.
Once a container is in the Offline Records tray it is also available for new drafts to be added to it.
Any drafts added to a container in the Offline Records tray will be using that container when it is checked into Content Manager.
You can use the following commands specific to the Offline Records tray from the right-click context menu.
The items marked with asterisks (*) are available only in online mode:
