Operational security
Operational security is the control of access to facets of an item that is the direct result of a system or user-defined process.
The predominant examples of operational security are:
- Workflow Activities - a Workflow Activity may be assigned to an individual or organisational entity.
Either the assigned user or anybody who belongs to the assigned organisational entity must complete the activity.
- Check in and check out - an electronic document may be checked out for editing.
While checked out, the document cannot be checked out by another user.
Apart from the administrator, only the user who checks out a document can check it back in.
