Client security
You can secure your data in a number of ways:
- Limit access by using operating system functions
- Limit access by using database security functions
- Using encryption techniques
Content Manager goes a step further and makes it possible to remove all access to resources other than that provided by the Content Manager Workgroup Server.
Network resources a Content Manager client accesses
- Per-user document cache
- Per-user temporary files
- Content Manager Workgroup Server
The Content Manager client requires access to only one shared resource:
- Content Manager Workgroup Server
This dramatically narrows down the areas of security risk.
The Content Manager client does not need to connect to the Content Manager metadata database, access electronic documents or the document content index.
