Working with Workflow templates

  1. On the Manage ribbon, click Workflow Templates
  2. Right-click for the options specific to Workflow templates:
    • New Template - create new Workflow templates.

      See Creating Workflow templates.

    • Copy Template - copy a selected template to modify it and create a second one based on the first one.

      See Copying Workflow templates.

    • Open With Workflow Editor - open and modify the selected Workflow template.

      See Modifying Workflow templates.

    • Lock / Unlock - locks and unlocks the Workflow template.

      Available only for users with user type Administrator with appropriate permissions.
      See About Workflow and Action tracking permissions.
      You cannot change a Workflow template that is locked.

    • Security and Audit - for the security and audit functions:
      • Security/Access - to set access permissions for the template or edit security levels or caveats on templates.

        See Security/Access command.

      • Copied Access Controls - controls about who can copy the Workflow template
      • View Rights - displays the security details like permissions and Access Controls for the template and the current user.

      • Active Audit Events - to view the movement history or any other events or functions that have been performed on the template. See Viewing active audit events for a record.
    • Delete - delete the selected Workflow template.

    • Send To - for the commands:
      • Print Report - to print the template metadata details. Nominate a report layout for printing.
      • Print Merge - to select the data to send to a print merge file
      • Export XML - to export the template details to an .xml file
      • Favourites - adds the template to your list of favourite templates
