Working documents

Working documents are documents that are created or edited as part of the Workflow process.

They are created using the Working Document right-click commands.

You can attach documents to a working document placeholder from any point in the Workflow.

Working document placeholders are not documents; they exist to indicate where a document should be created to satisfy the requirements of the Activity.

They also define how it should be created.

The default details available through the properties of a placeholder mean that working documents can be created:

  • With no defined record type
  • With a defined record type
  • From a supercopy of a particular record, using no defined Record Type
  • From a supercopy of a particular record, using a defined Record Type
