Event Monitor

The Event Monitor option gives users with the required permissions to Content Manager but who do not have access to the Content Manager Enterprise Studio application the ability to monitor the Event Processing status for the available Workgroup Servers.

To access the Event Monitor in the Content Manager client, from the Administration ribbon, in the Other group, click Event Monitor.
The Event Monitor window will open displaying all active events with their processing data.

Event Monitor options

  • Select the workgroup server to monitor events - from the drop-down list, select the Workgroup Server whose events are to be monitored.
  • Refresh rate - set the time period to update the data listed.
    • Last Refresh - displays the time the last refresh occurred.
  • Refresh - click Refresh to update the list of Unallocated Events. If any events are unallocated, or have issues, click Repair Events.
  • Right-click menu options -
    • Reload - click to reload the listed data.
    • Filter - displays the Select Items to Monitor dialogue box. It enables you to filter the events you want to monitor according the selected Workgroup Server and event processors.
    • Reassign Events - to transfer queued events to another Workgroup Server. Displays the Select the Workgroup To Transfer Events To dialogue box. Type the name of the Workgroup Server to transfer the events to and click OK.
    • Redistribute Events - to redistribute events to Workgroup Server(s).

Displays the Redistribute Activity dialog box. Tag the Workgroup Server(s) to redistribute the events to and click OK. The events gets distributed across all the tagged Workgroup Server(s).

This task is available for all the events except for render events and there has to be more than one Workgroup Server configured for that event processor.

    • Resume - to resume processing after the event processor stopped due to an unforeseen error, like the computer running out of disk space. When that happens, an error message appears and the event processor status displays an error. Click Resume to start the event processor when you have resolved the issue.
    • Remove - to remove events that are queued up but not yet processed. This can be useful if there are events blocking the event processor from running.
