External Links Usage (Record) tab
External Links can be assigned to be available on specific Record Types; the External Link is accessible from the Send To menu.
On the Usage (Record) tab, select the Record Types the External Link will be available from.
Each Record Type can have a unique set of parameters passed from them to the External Link. To define the parameters, on the Record Type, right-click and click Command Line. The Insert External Link Parameter dialogue box is displayed. Click the KwikSelect on the Command line parameters... field to display the Insert External Link Parameter dialogue box.
Insert External Link Parameter options
- Standard Property - from the drop-down menu, select a standard Content Manager property value.
- Additional Field - to use an Content Manager Additional Field property value.
- Special Substitution Parameter - from the drop-down menu, select a special substitution parameter to be passed.
- Parameter Value must be non-blank for link to execute - select this option to run the External Link only when the selected parameters contain a value.
Multiple parameters, of different types, can be selected, but each selection must be saved by clicking OK on the Insert External Link Parameter dialogue box before repeating the selection process.
