- Accept logins for this user, using credentials - select to allow the user to access Content Manager.
Clear this check box to prevent the user from logging on to Content Manager.
This will not stop Content Manager users using the Location, but the associated user will merely not be able to access Content Manager any more.
To stop users from using an Content Manager Location for any fields like Owner, use the Location properties Active tab instead by specifying the dates when the Location should be available for use in Content Manager. See Inactivating, reactivating and deactivating Locations
NOTE: Content Manager counts Locations that have this option selected towards the number of users licensed to use Content Manager.
To free up a licensed seat, clear the option Accept logins for this user, using credentials.
To see current information about the users of your Content Manager license, on the Help menu, click Setup Information - Software License - Seats.
- User Name - must match the login set up on the network for that user.
You must create the network login before the Content Manager login can be used. - Domain Name - the user login domain name
- Alternative Logins - to be used by trusted servers when using alternative authentication systems. When a Workgroup Server is presented with a Trusted User name, it will attempt to find the location profile based on either the normal login name or either of the alternative login names.
- Until Expiry Date - to enable the user to log in to Content Manager temporarily, select and enter the date the login expires.
Content Manager deactivates the login to Content Manager for that user on that date.
This expiry date does not make the Location unavailable for use and does not delete it, but merely affects the login to Content Manager. About deactivating or deleting Locations, see Removing Locations. - User is a visitor account - this option enables the same user to access multiple datasets within the enterprise using only a single seat of the license.
- Visitor is registered in home dataset - click the KwikSelect and select the home dataset for this user.
NOTE: If the Workgroup Server option Publish available datasets to clients has been disabled, an error will be displayed when the KwikSelect is clicked. In this case, the dataset ID for the visitor's home dataset will have be manually entered. Further verification will be carried out to ensure that the Workgroup Server knows the specified dataset and that the dataset has a registered login corresponding to the user name and domain name of the login, and an additional error will be displayed if there is no match found.
