Record Store Transfer
This feature allows organisations to transfer records only from one document store to another. Organisations have the ability to define what components of records, that is the main document, renditions and revisions, are included in the transfer and allows for the transfer records to another store, including the ability to transfer a non-SEC Compliant store to a SEC Compliant store. As this transfer option is not a 'whole store to store' option it may also be useful for organisations who want to have geographically localised stores to their users, so it can also be used to move specific documents to different geographical stores.
Record Store Transfer options
General tab
- From document store (leave blank for any store) - click the KwikSelect to search for and select, or select from the recently used drop-down list, the Document Store whose records are to be transferred from. If all records that match the search criteria are to be transferred to a new store, leave this option blank.
- To destination document store - mandatory - lick the KwikSelect to search for and select, or select from the recently used drop-down list, the Document Store where the records are to be transferred to.
- Transfer the main document only - select this option to transfer the current revision of the record(s). Renditions or revisions that are associated to the record(s) will remain in their existing store.
- Transfer the current revision plus renditions and previous revisions - select this option to copy the record's associated renditions and revisions to the new store.
- Transfer just previous revisions - select this option to transfer only the previous revisions of the record(s) to the new store. The current revision will remain in it's existing store.
- After transfer complete, delete documents from source store - select this option to delete the electronic document(s) from the Document Store the records were transferred from.
- All relevant records - select this option to flag all records in the selected Document Store to be included in the transfer.
- Records that also match the criteria - select this option to define the search criteria to be used to find the records in the Document Store to be included in the transfer.

Command Line - click this option to generate and save the Record Store Transfer Settings XML file that can be used to run the Record Store Transfer option using the Content Manager Administration Command Line Tool, see CM23.4__AdminCMDTool.pdf for details. Browse to where the file is to be saved, click Save.
