Use the Documents page to configure the Content Manager processing of all documents of a specified file type, identified by its extension, for example, *.docx or to prevent processing of documents of a specific size or unspecified extension.

The file type processing that Content Manager controls:

  • Document content indexing – excluding all documents of a particular file type from document content indexing
  • Longevity rendering – setting Content Manager Render to exclude documents of a particular file type from processing
  • Record renditions – enabling the processing of the configured renditions at the same time as adding or modifying documents of a particular file type

To change the Content Manager default settings for processing electronic documents of a particular file type, add it to the list and set its properties.
