Location Storage Provider page
This page appears only for Locations of type Storage Provider. Storage Provider Locations facilitate integration of the Content Manager feature Requests with external storage provider systems. Storage Provider Locations can only be created by users with the permission Administer Requests and Storage Providers.
The Storage Provider page holds the parameters that Content Manager will use when processing requests to this storage provider.
- High priority service response time - default: 2 hours
- Medium priority response time - default: 1 day
- Low priority response time - default: 3 days
Content Manager uses the response time values to calculate the due date and time for requests to this Location. The calculation takes the Content Manager working days and time into account, which are set in the System Options - Dates and Times page.
- Implement cut-off time for low priority requests - selected by default - select for Content Manager to use the cut-off time for the calculation of due dates for low priority requests
- Cut-off time for same day delivery - the time by which low priority requests have to be made. Content Manager calculates the agreed response time for the request from the next time this time arrives.
- Delivery requests need to be approved by the request administrator - select to have an approval step for all requests. All new requests in Content Manager will have the status Awaiting Approval.
- Delivery of items within a container involves delivery of the entire container - when selected and a user submits a request for a file in a container, Content Manager assigns the request to the whole container instead. The request properties contain the information about which record was actually requested.
- Provider supports direct delivery of items to requestor - select for the delivery address to be that of the actual requestor. When not selected, the delivery address will be that of the storage vendor administrator
- When capturing activity log files - the external warehouse integration utility can automatically preserve the transmission files that it sends and receives to and from the provider. To do so, you need to set the Record Type for Content Manager to use for the files when storing them
- Use Record Type - the Record Type Content Manager should use to create the record from the log files
- Enclose in Container - the container Content Manager should use to store the records in
NOTE: Record Types that have options like Classification titling or mandatory fields on the form should not be selected. If user interaction is required to create the record using the selected Record Type, then the activity log file will not be created and an error message will be displayed.
