Record Type Audit page
The Record Type properties Audit page enables you to set the events that Content Manager should log for records of that Record Type. You can set up active and offline logging.
Tag the events in the list that you would like Content Manager to log in the active audit log for records created with this Record Type.
Always create active audit events if they indicate a security breach - an online audit log should always create an online audit event if the event indicates a security breach. This means that even if you are not configured to capture changes of assignee events, if the assignee is changed to someone who doesn't have the correct security, the event will be logged to the active audit events if this setting is enabled.
To view the logged record events, right-click the record and on the Security and Audit menu, click Active Audit Events.
To search the log, click Manage then click Online Audit Log.
See Active audit events.
Content Manager also uses audit events for record statistics reports. They must be set to be tracked to save the data that these reports use.
If the following events are not selected, then no statistics will be recorded:
- Document Viewed
- Retention Schedule Reviewed
Select the type of events Content Manager should log in the offline audit log for records created with this Record Type:
- Records of this type are created
- Records of this type are modified
- Records of this type are deleted
If you clear this option, Content Manager will not update the Last Action Date of the record when a user views its associated electronic document.
This setting indicates whether the preview pane should immediately display a view of a record's document, or whether it should allow the user to confirm that they want to view the document. This setting only applies if the act of viewing a record causes an update to the record, either because the record is flagged to generate the Document Viewed event or whether viewing causes an update to the Last Action Date.
