Postal codes

Content Manager ships with an example list of Australian postcodes that can be loaded directly into your dataset using Content Manager DataPort.

Please contact your local Post Office to obtain an import file containing the postcodes for your country or an updated copy of this file.

The postcodes function makes registering new addresses quick and accurate.

You can sort the postcodes list by clicking the column header.

Postcodes are used in addresses for:

  • Organisations (Units)
  • Groups
  • Positions
  • Persons - staff members and contact names

Postcodes are composed of:

  • Postcode
  • Region
  • City
  • State
  • Country

When users create or modify records or documents, Content Manager can send email notifications to users. These notifications are called alerts.

The benefit is that a user will automatically get the information they need or are interested in, thus removing the need to go searching for information.

Content Manager will send alerts to users according to specified criteria - this enables users to select existing records when certain events occur, for example:

  • A record is created
  • A record is modified
  • A record is destroyed
  • Contents are added
  • Contents are removed
  • An electronic document action occurs
