Command line parameters
You can use command line parameters in a shortcut to start Content Manager Desktop with particular dialogue boxes open:
- Right-click your desktop and on the New menu, click Shortcut
- Click Browse and select your Content Manager installation folder.
By default, this is "C:\Program Files\Content Manager \TRIMDesktop.exe".
- Click in the field where you can see the file path and press END on your keyboard
- With the cursor at the end of the line, type a space and the command line parameter you want to use.
The line should now look similar to this one: "C:\Program Files\Content Manager \TRIMDesktop.exe" -w1.
- Click Next, type a name for the shortcut or just click Finish.
You will now find the new shortcut on your desktop or where you chose to create it.
Double-click the shortcut to start Content Manager Desktop in a particular screen.
Content Manager Desktop has these command line parameters that you can use like in the example above with a space, a hyphen and the parameter details:
- w1 - displays the Search dialogue
- w2 - displays the Offline Records
- w3 - displays the Recent Documents
- w4 - displays the Classification Browser
- w5 - displays the Favorite Records
- w6 - displays the Records Work Tray
- w7 - displays the Recent Containers
- w8 - displays the Records Due
- w9 - displays the Records In
- w10 - displays the Records In or Due
- w12 - displays the Document Template
- w13 - displays the Document Content Block
- w14 - displays the Explorer
- y - starts Content Manager Desktop in Offline mode
