Workflow template Documents tab
The Workflow template's Documents tab enables you to set an existing record as reference document.
Reference documents use the icon
and are used to present documents to an Activity's Assignee for information purposes only.
Unlike working documents, these are read-only and cannot be edited.
- Right-click and select New Reference Document.
A standard Search dialogue box appears
- Search for the record in Content Manager you want to attach
- Double-click the record to attach it.
The reference document is now attached to the template.
When you create a new Workflow from this template, this reference will appear in the Workflow Properties - Documents tab.
Once you have attached a reference document to a Workflow, right-click it for the options:
- New Reference Document - see above
- View - displays any electronic document in the Content Manager viewer
- Edit - displays any electronic document for you to edit it
- Delete - deletes the document from the template
- Properties - displays the record properties allowing you to view or modify its metadata
