Modifying attached Actions and Procedures

Use the right-click menu to modify an attached Action or Procedure.

  1. Search for the record whose attached Actions or Procedures you want to modify
  2. Right-click and select Workflow - Show Actions/Procedures
  3. Right-click the Action or Procedure you want to modify and select the item for the details you want to change.

    TIP: If you want to modify an Action Step within a Procedure, click the expand symbol in front of the procedure name in the Action list window.

    This will display all the steps within the selected procedure.

  4. Make your changes.
  5. Click OK

    NOTE:

    • When you insert an Action step into existing assigned Actions/Procedures, Content Manager updates the default dates and times for the top level steps
    • When you remove an Action which changes other Actions' due dates, you must reschedule the Actions to recalculate the dates
    • When you add a new Action to a record and there are existing Actions, you can use the option Add it after all existing Actions
    • The start date of an Action that is set to start after any existing Actions will be the existing Action's Date completed.
      • Previous Action is not completed - the start date of the new Action is the due date of the existing Action.

        However, when the system option to reschedule is enabled, then the new Action will reschedule to start at the Date completed of the existing Action.

      • Previous Action is completed - the start date of the new Action is the existing Action's Date completed
