Workflow template Options tab
Set the options to apply to each Workflow created with this Workflow template:
- Automatically start Activities when they are ready to start - default.
Select this option if you want the Activities to start automatically.
Clearing this check box will mean that users will need to start each Activity manually.
NOTE: Activities will only automatically start if there is an Assignee. If this option is enabled, users will be prompted to select an Assignee for the next activity if there is not one assigned and will not be able to complete the Activity until one is selected.
Workflow properties can be set to not automatically start Activities.
- Finishing an Activity early brings the due date forward - Content Manager will change the due date automatically if an Activity finishes early
- Finishing an Activity late brings the due date back - Content Manager will change the due date automatically if an Activity finishes late
- Reset Due Date when resuming a suspended Activity - Content Manager will change the due date if an Activity is suspended
- Retention Period for Workflows based on this Template - to set the retention period for new Workflows that are created using this template. The retention period is the time span Content Manager will retain the Workflows for before flagging them for possible destruction. The retention period for each new Workflow starts on the day they are created.
