Phone Numbers
Click KwikSelect for any of the Location - General page fields to display a Phone Number dialogue box for you to enter the Location's telephone numbers:
- International - either select a country, enter a country code or leave blank.
Select a country for Content Manager to enter the country code automatically.
- Local Area Code - the local area code if applicable
- Number - Location's phone number
- Extension - the extension, if applicable
NOTE: Telephone number formatting behaviour
The field is limited to 30 characters.
Formatting of telephone numbers:
If the local number consists of six, seven or eight digits and is only numeric, i.e. contains no alpha characters, dashes, spaces, slashes etc., then Content Manager will insert a dash (-) before the fourth last character.
If the local number has a separator character before the fourth last digit and all other digits are numeric, then Content Manager will change the separator to a dash (-).
Any character other than an alphanumeric character can be a separator.
Therefore, for example, +61 (0) 2 6245 2100 will be changed to +61 (0) 26245-2100, or a mobile number of 0484 999 999 will be changed to (0484) 99-9999.
