Recreate word indexes

The Recreate Word Indexes function enables you to reindex the text fields in a Content Manager dataset, for example the record titles. You can also do that for a selection of records, rather than the entire dataset.

It is not for metadata or document content indexing. For these functions, see Content Manager Enterprise Studio Help.

To reindex the text fields in your entire dataset, it is recommended to use the Content Manager Enterprise Studio function Reindex, as it is faster and provides more configuration options. See Content Manager Enterprise Studio Help for details.

Recreate Word Indexes can reindex the following items:

  • Records (title, notes, Additional text Fields) to rebuild record indexes.

You can also reindex a selected record. See Re-indexing.
