US DoD security search methods

The following security search methods are available when in Administration - System Options, on the Compliance page, the United States Department of Defense (US DoD) option Implement US DoD 5015.2 compliance and in the Features page, the feature Classified Security are both selected.

  1. From the Search menu, select Find Records
  2. At the bottom of the dialogue, click the Editor button and make sure that the Boolean search editor is selected
  3. Click KwikSelect beside the Search By box
  4. Click the expand symbol to expand Security and Audit
  5. Select one of the search methods.
    In the space below the list, you can see more detail about the search method.
    The column Caption shows the field or data the search method is about, for example:
    • Classified By - searches by the classifying Location (Person)
    • Classifying Agency - searches by the classifying agency (Organisation)
    • CS Declassified By - searches for all records that meet the selected Declassified by search criteria

    • CS Declassified On - searches for all records that were Declassified on or during the selected date range

    • CS Declassify Event - searches for all records that meet the selected Declassified Event search criteria

    • CS Downgrade Event - searches for all records that meet the selected Downgrade Event search criteria

    • CS Downgraded By - searches for all records that were Downgraded by the selected Location

    • CS Downgraded On - searches for all records that were Downgraded on or during the selected date range

    • CS Latest Security Change Type - searches for all records with the selected Security Change type(s) as their latest security change.

    • CS Upgraded By - searches for all records that were Upgraded by the selected Location

    • CS Upgraded On - searches for all records that were Upgraded on or during the selected date range

    • CS: Declassify On - lists all records with a security declassify scheduled for the selected date
    • CS: Downgrade On - lists all records with a security downgrade scheduled for the selected date
    • CS: Security At Registration - searches by the security level applied to a record at registration
    • Derived From - searches by the Derived From (Other Sources) field on the Security Classification tab
    • Downgrade Instructions - searches by the Instructions for downgrading security field on the Downgrade On tab
    • Reason(s) for Classification - search by the field Reasons for Security Classification on the Security Classification tab
    • Reason(s) for Update - searches by the Reason for security change field on the Security Classification tab.
    • Security Guide Entry - lists all records with a selected Security Guide Entry attached. You can search for all or using prefix character(s) to find an item by the guide reference number
    • Security Last Update By - searches by the Location (Person) that last updated the security
    • Security Last Update Date - searches by the Last Update date
    • Security Level At Registration - searches by the initial security level applied to records
    • Security Reviewed By - searches by the reviewed by a Location (Person)
    • Security Reviewed Date - searches by Reviewed By date
  6. Click OK to return to the Search for Records dialogue
  7. Select the options to use for the search and click OK to run the search.
    Content Manager returns the search result.
