Creating or upgrading Content Manager datasets
These instructions assume you are performing this process on the computer that will host the primary Workgroup Server. You can always change it after the dataset is complete.
- For this specific purpose, see CM23.4_Spec.pdf for the requirements for a Workgroup Server (Page 4) and supported relational database (RDBMS) clients (Page 13). Make sure these prerequisites are installed and configured on each machine that will act as a Workgroup Server.
- Confirm connectivity between the Workgroup Server and RDBMS Server is established.
- Refer to your RDBMS documentation for further instructions about verifying connectivity.
- Determine folders to use for the electronic store and document content index files.
- These folders will need to be accessible by the account used to run the Workgroup Server service.
NOTE: Filtering noise words (MS SQL/Azure SOL database) - By setting transform noise words in your MS SQL database server, noise word filtering can be passed to the database server.
To set the transform noise words, see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/database-engine/configure-windows/transform-noise-words-server-configuration-option?view=sql-server-ver16.
