IDOL Services
The IDOL Configuration dialog allows you to see all configured IDOL Content Engines, and allows you to add, remove and update the existing engines.
At the top, you can see the list of IDOL content services set up for this dataset.
The status Unavailable indicates that the content service cannot be reached, for example, because it is using incorrect configuration details or because it has not started.
You should only configure services that have the status Online.
- Add - to set up an additional content service.
- To install additional content indexing services, first use the IDOL Components installation file on the additional server as described in CM10.0_IDOL_DCI_Install_Config.pdf, appendix Installing Content Manager IDOL Components. To return to this dialog box and click Add.
- In the IDOL Content Service Configuration dialog box, fill in the details to complete the setup, and click OK:
- Server Host Name
- Port
- Index Port
- Working Directories Path
- Log Path
- To add additional content services, repeat the steps
- Click Update to update the IDOL configuration files. Note: Do not click Update unless the IDOL configuration has been altered, such as an added content engine or a changed log path.
- Content Manager displays a warning message when it detects conflicts with an existing service.
You should install the additional service on the server computer before configuring it here in Enterprise Studio. Each content service needs to be a separately installed component.
- Remove - to remove the selected existing content service
- Logging Path - to set the main IDOL service's log file location
- Admin Clients - the address(es) of any Workgroup Server and Event Processors and any Content Manager Client that will be used to manually reindex records.
- Index Clients - the address(es) of any Workgroup Server and Event Processors and any Content Manager Client that will be used to manually reindex records.
- Update - click to deploy the configuration changes to all the IDOL Components.
